About Me

I am a certified sex therapist with the American Association of Sex Therapists and Educators (AASECT). I am also a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).  I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including attachment work, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), The Developmental Model, Relational Life Therapy (RLT), feminist and anti-oppressive social justice approaches to mental health and therapy.  As part of AASECT's extensive training requirements in current frameworks and models of affirming sex therapy I have also undergone many hours of clinical supervision for my relational work.

I navigate the world as a white, cis-gendered, straight-assumed bisexual, married, able-privileged mother of teenagers. Of Scottish settler heritage, I am grateful to live, work and garden in the beautiful unceded territories of the Lekwungen peoples, also known as Victoria, BC.

I am a constant work in progress. I consistently work on identifying my biases, edges and privileges in order that I ground myself in self-awareness to reduce or obliterate any oppressive postures that might create obstacles to the creation of the safest, bravest space for therapeutic heart-centred work. I do my best every day to show up for life with joy, care and compassion.
